Madden NFL 21 Beta Test Thoughts

August 28 Release Date

I was lucky enough to be able to receive Madden 21 to beta test. As an older gamer, my review or thoughts on this game may not mean much to most gamers.  As an avid sports gamer, I can assure you I don’t expect everything to be perfect. Most gamers believe it’s just another year, another roster update with a few new features thrown in to satisfy your purchase.
I found the tackling to be a bit more lifelike. The running game seemed to react well to the controls. I mostly play a franchise and not much MUT or online games. My internet is slow out in the sticks of Ohio. The lack of franchise features was very frustrating. However, I do believe they will fix this and add a lot more to the mode before release date.
The best feature I thought was that the players didn’t feel like they were on ice skates any more. I mean, if your guy wasn’t fast, he definitely was not gonna catch your wr or rb. I also liked the fact that qb’s are starting to feel like their real life mobile counterparts. Play with Mahomes or Jackson and then play with Brady. You will see what I mean.
The reach for the pylon and first down is nice, but inconsistent. The de play using the right stick is nice and the truck stick is the y button or triangle. I personally don’t like that, but what people forget is that you can change that if you don’t like it. Remember, you can remap your controller to how you like it.
It looks beautiful. Players look more like themselves and not bulky blurs. I don’t mess with the difficulty when playing on the beta versions. I always wait til the updates and roster cut downs once I get the released version.
Overall, if you like Madden 19 or 20, you will like Madden 21. Plus, there are a lot of good Buckeyes to play with. 😁😁😁😁😁
