Ohio State vs FAU

Ohio State vs. FAU: Tickets, TV, Streaming, Point Spread and Weather

The No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes kick off their 2019 season against Lane Kiffin and his Florida Atlantic Owls.
The Owls finished the 2018 season with a 5-7 record and a 3-5 mark in Conference USA. It was a major step backward for both the program and its head coach, who was seemingly on his way to bigger and better things following an 11-win 2017 campaign.
Things went a lot better than that for the Buckeyes in 2018. They destroyed arch-rival Michigan, 62-39, won the Big Ten championship, and won the Rose Bowl. A season that started with chaos and controversy ended with a 13-1 record and the No. 3 spot in the final AP poll.
Here’s everything you need to know to enjoy Ohio State vs. Florida Atlantic.

Kickoff Time

The game kicks off Saturday, August 31 at 12:00 pm Eastern.

TV & Streaming

You can watch the game on FOX, or stream it via Fox Sports Live. Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt, and Jenny Taft are on the call.

Radio

The game will be carried live on the Ohio State Football Radio Network. Find your local Ohio State Football radio station here.

Weather

The game is still a few days away, which means the forecast is bound to change some between now and then. But so far, it looks like it will be a gorgeous day for football.
The high for Saturday is projected at 81 with partly cloudy skies and a light breeze.
It’s not a crisp mid-October day, but it’s pretty darn close to perfect for a date that starts with the word “August.”

Point Spread

The Buckeyes are a 27-point favorite against the Owls. The Over/Under for the game is 63.5.
If you want to combine those numbers, that means Vegas is expecting something in the neighborhood of a 45-18 win for Ohio State.

Tickets

It wasn’t long ago that you had to donate thousands of dollars to the athletic department for just the right to purchase OSU football season tickets.
Single-game seats for non-conference games occasionally went on sale during the summer, but were quickly snapped up.
Now, thanks to some combination of great TV watching experience, so-so in-stadium atmosphere, cost, and #Teens… something something… always on their phones, those days are long gone.
Much of the top of South Stands is still unsold for this weekend’s game, and tickets are plentiful on the secondary market.
The “get in the door” price has slowly dropped from around $40 per ticket to $35 or so in the last few days, and you can find tickets near midfield in A deck starting at roughly $125.
Those prices will generally continue to trend down as game day (and especially kickoff time) approaches.
A word of warning if you go the old-fashioned route and scalp a seat outside the Horseshoe: OSU has reported a big increase in fakes, especially with “print at home” tickets.
They suggest you only buy tickets through Ohio State Athletics Ticket OfficeTicketmaster, and Buckeyes Ticket Exchange.
Gates at Ohio Stadium open at 10:00 pm, two hours prior to kickoff.
